Milan-headquartered law firm Paradigma has acted for cybersecurity solutions company Alfa System on the formation of a new company, allowing its expansion into the United Kingdom.
The new company, wholly-owned by Alfa System, will be named Alfa Group Global.
Expansion into the UK follows other investments made by Alfa System in the Benelux countries, in the last few years.
Paradigma senior partner Massimo Donna and counsel Chiara Bianchi advised on the deal.
Alfa System has been increasing its presence in the UK and European Union prior to establishing Alfa Group Global, for instance, last year in June, cyber intelligence company Q6 Cyber hired Alfa Group to provide e-crime intelligence in the UK and EU.
Last year, Paradigma reviewed the way that Covid-19 would revolutionise small and medium sized enterprises’ cybersecurity practices. The firm also looked at the way artificial intelligence technology was impacting everyday life, prior to the pandemic.
It was reported in March last year that financial institutions must do more to tackle data privacy risks.
Last month, Mitchells & Butlers made a GBP 351 million open offer, Wells Fargo sold its asset management arm, and Mayer Brown acted on a restructuring for Bourbon Maritime, while Morgan Lewis acted on the creation of a pharmaceutical holding in Russia.
